2022 Chevrolet Camaro
The Chevy Camaro brings old-school muscle to drivers who enjoy power and performance but with a modern twist. For the 2022 model year, the lineup gains some new exterior paint colors and wheel designs, and the 1LE Track Performance Package is no longer available for the LT trim. Chevy builds this Camaro generation on the Alpha platform, so it takes corners and handles like a true performance vehicle. It also has a wide range of engine options.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level 1LS comes with 18-inch wheels, power-adjustable side mirrors in body-colored casings, and sport-tuned suspension. The 1LT adds silver-painted 18-inch alloy wheels and the option for the Track Performance Package with 20-inch black wheels and black exterior accents. Step up to the 2LT for upgrades in the cabin or the 3LT for heated side mirrors and an auto-dimming driver's side mirror. The LT1 trim has 20-inch wheels, Brembo Brakes, a sport-tuned suspension, and upgraded engine cooling, and the 1SS has LED headlights and an integrated air scoop.
The Camaro also comes in the 2SS and the ZL1, each with more power and added features.

Engine (Power)
The base Camaro engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that puts out 275 horsepower. The 1LT offers an optional 3.6-liter V-6 with 335 horsepower, or you can bump up to the LT1 for a 6.2-liter V-8 that makes 455 horsepower. The most powerful Camaro is the ZL1. It has a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that generates 650 horsepower and gets 650 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Both V-8s have the power to make you hang on when the driver hits the gas, and they provide a satisfyingly low rumble. If you want to beef up performance, Chevy offers several packages with extras such as dual-mode exhaust, upgraded brakes and exhaust, and a rear spoiler.
Interior
Inside the Camaro, there's room for four people. It comes standard with a power-adjustable driver's seat and single-zone automatic climate control, with heated and ventilated front seats added to the 2LT and driver's seat memory settings added to the 3LT. This trim also has a heated steering wheel. Technology features in the Camaro start with a 7-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Satellite radio comes in the 1LT, while the 3LT upgrades to an 8-inch touch screen and adds a wireless charging pad and a nine-inch Bose stereo system.
You can get the larger touch screen and the Bose stereo system in the 1LT, 2LT, and LT1 if you add the Technology Package.

Safety Features
Every 2022 Camaro comes standard with a rearview camera, and it has the Teen Driver System that allows primary drivers to set limits for young drivers. For added safety systems, bump up to the 3LT. It comes with a forward-collision warning system, a head-up display blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. A head-up display comes with the SS 1LE Track Performance Package for the SS.
